His woodturning and crafts are a hobby. He has worked in

wood his entire career. Every piece of wood is different and tells

its own story. Each bowl ( or project ) is an individual piece

of artwork, crafted with much planning and thought. No two

bowls will ever be alike! Solid hardwood bowls are turned from

one chunk of tree, sometimes part of the bark, knotholes, etc

are left in and become part of the design. Other bowls are made

from segments of wood, cut to form rings, which are then stacked

 and turned on a lathe. These can incorporate intricate designs

(some contain up to 900 individual pieces). When he begins a

project. he changes it and adapts it as he goes. He welcomes all to
